Answers about Czech Republic

I am retired and am traveling to Prague the first week of December. I am looking for a guide who can meet me at the airport, get me to my hotel, and provide at least three days of looking around the city about 5 hours each day. I am looking for a day rate if possible and need a price in local currency or USD. I do not want a scripted tour but rather a unscripted guide to just "show me around" the city and some sites. I look forward to hearing back from you.

Dear Darrel, I can do all that for you! I will have my driver pick you up from the airport. Let me know your flight number, what date and hour you are landing in Prague!
3 days sound lovely, one day I will give you a general Prague Overview, the second day we will go to the Jewish Quarter and the last day we can see the Prague Castle.
For some days I would have my colleague guides helping me out with your tours since I might be busy, especially if you are planning the tours on the weekdays. Weekends I m free. The price is 50 USD for an hour, all 3 tours should take 13 hours so all together for tours it is 650 USD. Together with the transfer, it will be 690 USD.

Hello,

I am looking for a family destination were children can really have a good time. Are there zoos and aqua parks in Prague and which countryside locations can we go so that children would enjoy themselves?

Thanks,
Christine

If you, your children, or most of all, your inner child bolt for the pool at the first sign of summer, you’ll be happy to know that the water park has grown up and is now more than a few creaky slides. Billed as the largest water park in central Europe, the newly opened AquaPalace (located in Čestlice, 6 km south of Prague) sports saunas, a spa complex, and a fitness center—as well as nine water slides—making it an attractive destination for summer and beyond. Although still in the breaking-in stages and a slight challenge for visitors with limited Czech, AquaPalace delivers a range of imaginative water thrills, including ones you might have only dreamed about, as a kid.

I want to visit the Czech Republic during football season as I am a long time fan of the sport. Are there any specific bars/restaurants that I can go to in order to enjoy the sport on a big screen TV and possibly some drinks? I'd prefer a pretty inexpensive location.

Hello,

skip the Irish and British bars, Eva; the Ungelt bar Legends doesnt exist anymore, its Dubliner thesedays and its overpriced even more than Legends used to be! Place where you can watch the match is BEER-FACTORY - thats on the Wenceslas Square - on the top near the Museum building, google the name and in case you bigger group, bar will ask you to pay a deposit for consumation, but you will save yourself a lot of money once you skip the overpriced Irish and British bars.
In most of the traditional Czech pubs is no sky TV, so if you want to watch an international match, Beer Factory is the only place inexpensive option in the centre. I bring my groups there, friendly stuff, easy to deal with, nice interior and cheap!! Have fun!

Hallo, the are thousands of restaurants and bars in Prague. The best way is to come and see for yourself. Even if I started describing them you would probably chose different ones once you come. Everybody has a different taste. Prague is not a medieval city, but a pulsing modern metropolitan city visited by millions of people every year..Would you like to book any of our tours? Or you can hire a private guide who would show you around restaurants and bars. Best wishes Jay
