You have chosen our 4 day tour of the Salar de Uyuni, and the surrounding landscape. The trip is a truely magical experience that allows you to explore the strange and encapsulating landscape of southern Bloivia; The first day ventures firstly to Cochani, an area of the salt flats where ice cold healing water bubbles through the salt originating from an underground river caused by Tunupa volcano.
The trip is then made over the seeminglessly endless expanse of the Salar De Uyuni, where you can feel thoroughly lost and take some amusing photos. The next stop is Isla Incahuasi, an island in the middle of the salt flats ladden with cacti. The final stint of the day is the trip to the Bella Vista lodge to enjoy fantastic views, a good meal and your first nights sleep. The second day of the tour involves moving through the desert of Siloli, an area of true zen like tranquility. Here you will see the famous Arbol de Piedra Canapa, Hedionda, Chiar Kota and Ramaditas. From here you will venture into Laguna Colorada Park, where you will surprisingly enough get to see... Laguna Colarada! This lake measures 52 Km in circumference and glows red in the day light. You will find it difficult to notice the huge chunk of Borax or at least one of the 30,000 resident flamingos. Day three takes you first of all to some natural geisers. Feel free to touch the steam but don't breath it in unless you like sulphur! The next stop is the hot springs where you can take a dip to warm your soul naturally, on the provision you have a swim suit of course. Drink your coffee immersed in the springs, overlooking the Laguna Challviri, not such a bad life!.
The third stop of the day is the Laguna Verde, which is a green/blue lake with the backdrop of Volcan Lincancahur. from here you have two choices, cross the border into Chile and finish the tour, or continue the tour returning to Uyuni the next day, it all depends on your route. If you should decide to continue with the tour, you will then be driven to Valle De Las Rocas, for a taste of true cowboy landscape before spending the night in Alota. The fourth day involves a longish drive back to Uyuni through startling scenery, where on route you will get to see a Borax refinery and also the amazing train graveyard just outside of Uyuni itself. The price of the tour includes all transport, a spanish guide and cook to make you 3 meals a day (excluding breakfast day 1, and dinner day 4).
