| Beijing is the capital of the most populous country in the world, the people'Republic of China. It was also the seat of the Ming and Qing dynasty emperors until the formation of a republic in 1911. As such it is rich in historical sites and important government institutions.The city is well known for its flatness and regular construction. There is only one hill to be found in the city limits (in Jingshan Park to the north of the famous Forbidden City). Like the configuration of the Forbidden City, Beijing has concentric ring roads, which are actually rectangular, that go around the metropolis.In addition to your driver, you'll have a licensed English speaking tour guide as your own personal host/hostess during your trip. This allows for more of an interaction, more questions and answers, and a lot more fun! You'll feel as though you are being escorted around town by an old friend.Although I will provide you with a detailed and informative itinerary, I will be very flexible according to your likes and dislikes, because I know that flexibility is going to be important to you when you're on a vacation. For the programs on the itinerary, you may decide not to go; for the places not on the itinerary, you may go also because the vehicle, driver and guide will always be at your service during your stay in Beijing.
