On the 23 of april, 2008, while living in Santa Marta, I arrived in Aracataca invited by a friend of mine. Though i had read Garcia Marquez books before, i had not quite understood the importance nor the magnitude of his work and only walking around through this Nobel Prize winning town, i started to understand a little bit of Colombia's greatness and history.

Now several years later, i have discovered the essence of Magic Realism, in Aracataca, and it is my pleasure to introduce it to people from all over the world.
I'm a friendly guy, very knowledgable on Garcia Marquez and the local history and a great company for people of any age and any background.

Before Aracataca;
I worked for years in and in different aspects of the tourism industry; Bartendering on rivercruiseboats in The Netherlands and in a hostel in Spain, Kitchenhelp in a restaurant in the Crown casino in Melbourne,
being a teamleader in restaurant In Six Flags Holland - rollercoaster park,
Since 2010 i have a hostel/ tour company in Aracataca.

Besides this i have done many other jobs just as; Fruitpicking in Australia, English teaching on schools in Thailand & Peru + learning programs in Spain & Colombia.
