Mother Ocean Tours & Transfers was started between two partners who saw the need for a professional, private, FUN option for transportation between popular Costa Rican destinations. Mother Ocean Tours & Transfers was formed in early 2003 to meet this demand.   Jim Procter is an American who sailed to Costa Rica thirty years ago, fell in love with Costa Rica and never left. He has worked in tourism for the majority of that time and owned/managed a small hotel in Playas del Coco.    In Playas del Coco, Jim met his neighbor Alex Monjare. Alex has been working as a tour guide for over 20 years.   Both Jim and Alex have formed a unique hybrid transfer-tour company that utilizes the best vehicles, guides and drivers. Rather than seeing your transportation as time lost, Mother Ocean's goal is to make your transfer-tour with us an unforgettable part of your vacation.   Our mission is simple: We want our clients to agree that "Getting There Is Half The Fun!"
