Airport - The nearest practical stations are Andover and Salisbury. Southampton Airport (IATA: SOU, ICAO: EGHI) is about 25 miles away, and is probably the easiest to access, both by car and train. There is one direct train an hour from the station to Salisbury. From here you can catch a bus. Or you can try London Gatwick Airport(IATA: LGW, ICAO: EGKK), Andover and Salisbury can be reached from London Waterloo on a direct service. Alternatives: Bournemouth Airport(IATA: BOH, ICAO: EGHH) - 25 miles from Salisbury, Bristol International Airport(IATA: BRS, ICAO: EGGD) - 60 miles from Salisbury.
Shopping - Souveniers are available to paying visitors at the English Heritage shop at Stonehenge, although a wider range of merchandise can be obtained from Salisbury, in The Charter Market, for example. The Charter Market is a retail market held twice-weekly on Tuesdays and Saturdays (except the third Tuesday in October) from 8 AM to 4 PM (till 3:30 PM between Christmas and Easter) in Salisbury Market Square. For those wanting something a little different, Stonehenge Lamb is available to buy from local famers.
