You might want to see the founding places of Helsinki, near river Vantaa rapids, when it was the year 1550. Helsinki was founded in 1550 by King Gustav Vasa of Sweden and was intended to compete with the city of Reval (now Tallinn, Estonia), which lies on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland. Or maybe the house where Jean Sibelius a little further away from the city, the famous Finnish composer lived close to a beautyful lake Tuusula which inspired many Finnish artists by its awesome scenery and landscape. Visit Scandinavia´s biggest shopping centre with almost 500 shops, restaurants, cafés etc. or go hiking in a national park 30 kilometres away from Helsinki´centre.
