The beautiful beaches of Normandy are only two hours away from the charming Paris. This is the perfect occasion to discover the historical place where our ancestors fought against the enemies and restored the peace on the European continent. 

Our journey begins in the morning, when we’ll leave from Paris. Our stop will be Caen, Normandy’s largest city. Here, we’ll see some of the most amazing attractions including the gothic Church of Saint-Pierre de Caen and the castle of William the Conqueror. Vaugueux Street will be the best scene for our lunch time. The locals love this area because of its rich history. Also, this typical and picturesque street is less crowded with tourists. 

We finished lunch and we proceeded with our trip. We went to the Caen Memorial and met with my colleagues. We stopped at the landing beaches and they were the tour guides. They know so many things about the history and culture of this place! The entire trip lasted 5 hours and we were taken to see the American cemetery, the landing beaches (the top attraction), Utah Beach, Arromanches mulberry bridge, Omaha beach, the German battery and much more. 

The Memorial tickets are included throughout the day. Don’t miss the chance to see this extraordinary symbolic place. It represents the first step towards the peace that ended World War II. When the evening came we had two options: have dinner in one of the best local restaurants (one of my strongest recommendations) of Normandy or go back to Paris. To keep the suspense after this very long, but amazing tour, I will let you guess what our decision was. I will only tell you that we went back to Paris eventually. But we arrived there very late. I think it was around 11 PM.
