Panafest festival is a cultural event dedicated to the enhancement of the ideals of Pan-Africanism and the development of the African continent.

Tour Itinerary:
Day 1:
Tuesday 21st July. Upon arrival in Accra, a representative from Blastours meets group for transfer to hotel. Spend the night at a beach resort in Accra.
Day 2: Wednesday 22nd July. Start the day with a visit to Osu to attend the Durbar of Chiefs and cultural performances at Osu for a colorful cultural experience. Spend the night at a beach resort in Accra.
Day 3: Thursday 23rd July. Drive through the principal streets of Accra. This will include the Arts centre, W. E. B. Dubois Center for Pan African Culture, Independence Square, Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park and the National Museum. Experience a live band performance in the evening. Spend the night at a beach resort in Accra.
Day 4: Friday 24th July. Set off for the Aburi Botanical Gardens, which offers a rich collection of tropical flora. Not far from the gardens are craftsmen who use wood and leather to create art unique to Ghana. Continue trip to the bead factory and market also to learn the art of bead making. Descend into Akosombo to visit the dam. Spend the night at a riverside resort in Akosombo.
Day 5: Saturday 25th July. Set off early in the morning to visit to the Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary, where monkeys live in complete harmony with the residents. Visit the nearby village to interact with the locals also for a cultural interaction. Continue to the village of Logba Tota, located at the foot of Mount Afadjato. Trek through villages, cocoa farms and mountain rain forest to the waterfall. Spend the night at a riverside resort in Akosombo.
Day 6: Sunday 26th July. Set off in the early morning to experience a leisurely ferry ride on the Dodi Princess. This trip takes the whole day and will take you on a cruise along the Volta Lake. Enjoy a meal on the Ferry to a live band performance whilst it sails along the river. Spend the night at a riverside resort in Akosombo.
Day 7: Monday 27th July. Set off for Kumasi, the seat of the Ashanti Kingdom. Upon arrival, we visit to the world famous Black and White Power Shrine of the master priest Nana Abbas. End the day with a visit to the Kumasi Cultural Center, where the Prempeh II Jubilee Museum can be found. Also visit the various studios of the brass, pottery and batik makers at the Center. Spend the night at a hotel in Kumasi.
Day 8: Tuesday 28th Jul. Join in a cultural tour as part of the Panafest celebrations in Kumasi. This will include visits to the craft village of Bonwire (Kente). Interact with locals and learn about the art and history of the craft. Visit the nearby cocoa farm where we learn the process of cocoa production and possibly palmwine tapping. Continue from there to Ntonso, a village famous for adinkra design. Group members can learn the process of Adinkra printing from a Master and also stamp chosen motives on t-shirts. Spend the night at a hotel in Kumasi.
Day 9: Wednesday 29th July. Start the day with a visit to the Manhyia Palace, seat of the Ashanti Kingdom followed by a visit to the Kejetia market, the largest open market in West Africa before setting off for the Central Region. Overnight stay at a beach resort in Cape Coast/Elmina.
Day 10: Thursday 30th July. Early morning visit the Kakum National Park, which comprises of undisturbed virgin rainforest to experience a walking tour on the longest and highest canopy walkway in West Africa. We make a brief stopover at the Hans Botel, a resort partly built on stilts on a river with crocodiles, lots of birdlife and monkeys. Spend the rest of the day free at the beach. Overnight stay at a beach resort in Cape Coast/Elmina.
Day 11: Friday 31st July. After breakfast, we visit the grounds of the Panafest to witness various activities such as exhibitions, plays and other cultural activities. In the evening participate in the reverential night; candle light processions and vigil to commemorate the Africans who died in the slave trade. There will be a ceremony and re-enactment of the slave passage through the “Door of No Return”. Midnight Declaration of Emancipation Day. This is the highlight of Panafest Celebrations. Overnight stay at a beach resort in Cape Coast/Elmina.
Day 12: Saturday 1st Aug. Set off to participate in an Emancipation Day celebration, which will be opened with a Grand Durbar of Traditional Chiefs. Witness this grand ‘colorful’ and spectacular event that showcases the pomp and pageantry of Ghana’s traditional rulers. These festivities are held at Assin Manso, the site of the “last bath” where slave are taken for bath before being shipped to the new world. Experience an evening of cultural performances at the Cape Coast Center for National Culture. Overnight stay at a beach resort in Cape Coast/Elmina.
Day 13: Sunday 2nd Aug. Free day in Cape Coast. Overnight stay at a beach resort in Cape Coast/ Elmina.
Day 14: Monday 3rd August. Visit some Shrin
