The Danube Bend is the stretch of the river north of Budapest, 60 miles long with 3 major attractions e.g. Szentendre 'the town of art and crafts, a lovely old town with wonderful baroque architecture which has been favored by Hungarian artists.
Famous generations of painters and sculptors have lived and still livehere. The greatest have permenant galleries. It's a place with a big selection of handicrafts we are famous for.
Visegrad is the most scenic town right in the middle of the Bend with a medieval castle on top of the hill. Esztergom was the first capital of Hungary where our first king Stephen was crowned. It's the centre of the roman-catholic church, with the largest, beautiful Basilica and an interesting exhibition on the early history of our country.
