Balaton is the largest lake in Central Europe and one of the most popular destination because of its history, wine, culture, natural beauty and sailing opportunities. First we visit the world famous Herend Porcelain Manufactory: workers as they prepare and paint the porcelain, opportunity for shopping. We continue to Balaton and stop in Balatonfured for a short walk on the lake shore promenade and port to visit some little monuments. Our next stop is the Tihany peninsula to visit the Benedictine Abbey founded in 1055.
