With its manifold and often embittered history, incredible architecture and rich cultural heritage, Hungary's capital deserves its reputation as the 'Paris of Central Europe'. It has a complex identity, somewhere between Western luxury and simple traditions. The city straddles a gentle curve in the Danube. It has broad avenues, leafy parks and elaborate bathhouses. It also has a turn-of-the-century feel to it, for it was then - during the industrial boom and the capital's heyday - that most of the city was built. You will see all the highlights of Budapest: at first we drive up to the top of the Gellert Hill to look at the best panorama of the famous rivers cape (it is part of the world Heritage!) then we continue on the Buda Castle district. The Castle of Buda was built on the southern tip of Castle Hill, next to the old Castle District, which is famous about its medieval, Baroque and 19th century houses and public buildings. Buda Castle is part of the Budapest World Heritage Site. Today you could find there the Historical Museum of Budapest over 4 floors. We can visit here the Matthias Church (which located in the heart of Buda's Castle District), the Fishermen's Bastion. Then we will drive across the oldest and nicest bridge, the Chainbridge and continue to the Parliament to walk around it and learning about 1956 Revolution. You will see the second largest synagogue in the world, the Andressy Avenue, the Opera House, the House of Terror. We will visit the St. Stephen's Basilica and spending some time on the Heroes' Square to learn about our history. I will show you the most important museums like the Museum of Fine Arts or the National Gallery and you will decide to go back there later on. Finally we finish either at your hotel or at the Central Market Hall. Price: € 115. The price does not include entrance fees.
