Airport - Soekarno Hatta International Airport (IATA: CGK), at Tangerang, Banten, is the primary airport for Jakarta and Indonesia alike. All international and nearly all domestic flights land here 20 km (12 miles) to the northwest of the city. The airport is divided into three separate terminals. To get to the city, the easiest option is to contact your hotel to pick you up in the airport, as many hotels in Jakarta provide free airport transfers.
Shopping - Shopping Malls: Despite the crushing poverty exhibited in many parts of the city, Jakarta has a large number of giant, glittering malls. Markets: In addition to malls, there are also numerous extremely large shopping centers, quite a few of which can be found in the Mangga Dua (Two Mangoes) area. These include the huge Pasar Pagi Mangga Dua and the gigantic WTC (Wholesale Trade Center) Mangga Dua, massive indoor markets with hundreds upon hundreds of shops selling everything at wholesale prices.
