We meet in the Rialto area, close to the Grand Canal. From the Rialto area we walk through the market, the fish with the black squid, sadines, eel, calamari and squill etc, fruit and vegetables, to the quiet district of S. Polo and reach the Frari church (3 Euro) that built in the Gothic style by Franciscans monks contains a number of masterpieces among which Bellini’s Tryptic and Titian’s Assumption. After having admired the guid of Venetian shoemakers we start heading back over to the city centre. We can either use a public boat or a traghetto gondola (costs 0,50 and can afford up to 14 people) that we will bring us over the Grand Canal and from that side we can return back to the city centre.
