American living in Venice currently working on a documentary with Venice as subject. Prior to living in Venice, I spent 5 years in Paris France working in the fashion industry and studying Parisian and French history.
Looking for additional work as a tour guide as I am extremely passionate about Italian and Venetian history. I have read and studied extensively Venetian history as well as having a profound knowledge of its culture, traditions, folklore, cuisine, architecture and art. Having spent countless hours wandering the streets of the city, I am able to take new visitors off the beaten path and show them the true sides of the city that few tourists see.
In the past, I have given many tours of various parts of the city to friends and family visiting for the first time and enjoyed the experience so much, and am looking to translate this into an additional employment. In addition to the above, as I am genuinely passionate about the city, the feedback from those I have toured with is that it translates into a very engaging, informative and highly interesting tour of Venice.
Lastly, I speak French and Italian fluently and my schedule is very flexible.
I'm a full licenced Rome driver tour guide to drive and accompany people all over Italy and I worked extensively in Rome as well. My job is to give tours on Rome and on Tuscany, Florence, Siena, on the Tuscany wine country side,on the Amalfi coast, inside Vatican museum etc.
