North African biodiversity and the ancient cultural traditions of the 'jbala' or mountain people of the Rif Mountains will enable you to discover an authenticity and a spontaneous hospitality that can only be experienced in this northern peninsula.
You will relive the lifestyle of a bygone era when you arrive in Chefchaouen and its surrounding countryside. And you will be relaxed in this safe and secure trip that provides both the diversified activities and pace, too fully experience the culture of the locals while savouring a cup of mint tea.
Discover the dramatic differences between the Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines, the traditional farming techniques and the rural mountain landscapes.
Your accommodation will vary from the deluxe suites of the Casa Hassan and Maison des Oseaux to the more rustic lodging associated with what the locals call a Gite (bed and Breakfast or home stay). One night may also be spent beneath the stars in a comfortable bivouac.

The Atlantic Coastline: The trip begins at the village of Moulay Bousselham. Here you will have the opportunity to observe the variety of birdlife in the adjacent blue lagoon, an international renowned bird refuge and a stopover for birds migrating between northern Europe and Africa. Stay at the < La Maison des Oiseaux > a beautiful country inn surrounded by a lush garden.

Targha, nestled along the Mediterranean coast, provides an excellent opportunity for relaxation and swimming following the 3-day trek across the Rif. But you will also to discover the medieval Kasbah, meet with members of the women handicraft associations and village leaders, assist in 'potterie feminine' workshops, and participate the weekly outdoor fair or rural 'souk' of Oued Laou.

Crossing of the Rif Mountain Range is a three-day hike ending on the shores of the Mediterranean.
The Village of Chefchaouen: located in the heart of the Riff Mountains, this inland stage will allow you to discover the history of the north, agro tourism and local culture. Lodging will be in the old medina, in the traditional home of Casa Hassan.
