Asilah is a small port fishing town wich belong administrativly to Tangier and only 45 km far from it. Azilah is one of the 10 Morroccan Roman towns,it was known at the roman era by the name of Zilis. In the the 15 century it was ruled by the Portugues,whom did leave till today the fortifications that surround it beautifull medina,where every year during the month of august an international cultural festival is orgnised. The traditionel asilah market is a good event,where you can see the people from the mountains arroud selling their vegetables and others. while in asilah the best food you can try is a good,fresh plate of "fruit de mer". The visit of the old medine of asilah will be done by feet to see all the spanish and portugues fortifications ans well as the Raissoulis's Palace.
