The distance between Tetouan and Tangier is only 6o kilometres, and this fact makes this city a popular tourist destination. It is a very interesting place to visit. Tetouan is a small city in the northern part of Morocco. The name of the city originates from the Berber language and literally means “the eyes”. It also has a figurative meaning – “the water springs”.

Tetouan represents unique mixture of the Andalusian and Arab cultures, which makes this place matchless. There are numerous landmarks and monuments in Tetouan, so no wonder the city attracts so many tourists and travelers from all over the world. We will definitely visit the square named after the famous Hassan II. We will also take a look at the Governor’s palace, the first North African mosque and the Spanish garden.
