Airport - Delft can be reached from Brussels Airport (also known as Zaventem airport, international airport code BRU) and, much more easily, from Amsterdam Airport (also known as Schiphol, airport code AMS). From both airports, you can take the train to Delft. There is a third airport that may be used, Rotterdam Airport (airport code RTM). It is a small airport with only European connections.
Shopping - Traditional Delft pottery. Avoid anything that says "Holland" on it, or depicts windmills. Check out the antique stores if you want something really traditional.
