Lima & Cusco – 6 days/5 nights

Itinerary

Day 01   - Arrive Lima

Night arrival at Lima’s International Airport, meeting and reception, proceed with transfer to hotel and overnight.

Day 02 – Lima/Cusco

Breakfast at hotel, at proper time transfer to airport for flight to Cusco, upon arrival to the Imperial City reception and transfer to hotel. Rest of the morning at leisure to rest and get acclimatized to altitude. Afternoon half-day city tour including the Main Square, Cathedral, Santo Domingo Church and Korikancha Temple of the Sun, and the nearby archaeological sites of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko and Tambomachay. Return to Cusco and overnight at selected hotel.

Day 03 – Cusco/Machu Picchu

Breakfast at hotel and very early in the morning, transfer to station and departure by Vistadome train to the Lost Citadel of the Incas “Machu Picchu”, after 3 hours ride, arrival to the town of Machu Picchu (Ex-Aguas Calientes) – and proceed by bus to the Citadel for an extended guided tour. Buffet lunch at Machu Picchu Sanctuary Lodge. Then proceed to descend to town if the overnight is at hotel in town or stay at hotel close to the site, for overnight. 

Note –- the guide overnights at small hostel in town of Machu Picchu (Ex-Aguas Calientes)

Day 04 – Machu Picchu/Cusco

Breakfast at hotel and second guided tour to Machu Picchu, if time permits you can also hike the Wayna Picchu to have an incredible view of the Citadel, included this day 2nd entrance and 2nd round trip bus if selected the option of overnight in town.  In the afternoon will take the Vistadome Train back to Cusco, evening arrival and transfer to hotel for overnight

Day 05 – Cusco/Lima

Breakfast at hotel and morning transfer to airport for flight to Lima, upon arrival reception and transfer to selected hotel. Afternoon half day city tour of downtown Lima “The City of Kings”, visiting historic colonial landmarks such as the Plaza Mayor (Ex Plaza de Armas), Cathedral, San Francisco Church, ancient streets with its’ viceroyalty mansions and their characteristics balconies of Moorish style, the modern and residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, continuing to the Gold Museum in Monterrico, giving you a brief introduction into the Pre-Columbian heritage of Peru.

Evening transfer to Restaurant La Rosa Nautica for farewell dinner enjoying the delicious Peruvian cuisine at fine restaurant at the shores of the Pacific Ocean. Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 06 – Lima /Home

Breakfast at hotel and morning transfer to airport for your international flight back home.
