I am a Professional in tourism I was born in Cusco, where i went to University for 5 years to be licensed in tourism, I speak Spanish, Quechua (local language), French and English. Conventional, adventure, ecotourism, bird watching, 4x4 driving expeditions, and off the "beaten track tours for more than 11 years all over Peru; I am also very involved in Andean Anthropological Studies (costumes, traditions and social customs) and also interested in the animal world of the Andes and the rain forest.
I live and work in Peru, I have first-hand experience of my country; this detailed, in-depth knowledge is the only way I can offer a truly tailor-made travel service. I do not act as a middleman; you contact the expert who runs the operations for Tours & hotels directly to make a booking. For any question, you will always be in direct contact with me: The guide, Trip organizer and Operator without any intermediaries and extra costs. From the Coast to the Andes, Machupicchu and the source of the Amazon to beautiful, vibrant colonial cities, for more than 11 years I have thoroughly explored this dramatic beautiful country and will carefully plan your itinerary for a truly individual Tailor-Made Trip.Only you know what your ideal Private trip should include. Whether you want a luxury trip, to concentrate on archaeology, culture, visit a remote typical town-tribe, a 4 wheel drive expedition, or spend time wildlife watching, sample a city's hustle and bustle or relax in a secluded beauty spot, I will help you discover the joy of a unique trip designed specifically for you. With me Tailor-Made Travel means exactly that; after an initial discussion with you, I will create a unique-exclusive itinerary for your trip; fully independent and designed exclusively to your specifications, complete with background information, historical notes, colour pictures, etc, etc.So according to your main interests and time I will always send you an outline of a proposed/recommended Peru Itinerary with the best available Hotels, Tours, Transportation, Restaurants, etc. Itineraries where of course, we will add amend or remove any components as to your liking and trip budgets. Please also note that being from Cusco-Peru, I always design more enjoyable and authentic holidays that maximize the benefits to local communities, minimize any negative social or environmental impacts of tourism, and help local people to conserve fragile cultures and habitats/species. I am of course delighted to fine tune the plan if you think it could be improved in any way, and I will not begin to book your trip until you are completely satisfied with it. I have discovered many options that will allow you to escape the crowds for a while, be it a quiet lunch in a hacienda, a home stay, a private Inca Trail or other off the beaten track trek. I highlight the region's finest sights and experiences. Without ever compromising your safety and comfort, I'll take you well off the tourist paths into the real Peru, the country I know inside out.

Scott MacLennan will host and lead both the tour and trek to Ausangate. He has been an avid trekker and climber for over ten years and trekked in Canada, Mexico, Peru, Nepal, Italy and throughout the US. Scott first went to Peru in 2001 and took the exact route and itinerary offered in this trip. According to Scott, "This was such a great trip for my family that I had to take others to this magical country and share with them the experience. It's a great trip to bring the kids on too. My children were 13 and 15 on our first trip and they had a ball, snowball that is. Just past Arapa Pass, at around 15,000ft. we had a day of snow. Max and Alex wasted no time in making a huge snowball." It was on that trip that Scott met Yure Chavez and the two struck up a friendship that continues to this day. In 2003 Yure was able to come from Cusco to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where Scott lives. Scott is the director of several nonprofit organizations including the Anatoli Boukreev Memorial Fund, International Mountain Explorers Connection, the Alpine Fund, Trek4Good and the Mountain Fund. If you have any question, Yure and Scott would be pleased to answer - just contact him. | Add your Opinion about this guide and tour here |

Peru is a country with some of the most spectacular and varied scenery in South America. The Peruvian Andes are undoubtedly the most beautiful on the continent and its mountains are home to millions of highland Indians who still speak the ancient Quechua and maintain a traditional way of life. The green Amazon Basin, which occupies half of Peru, is one of the world's top 10 bio-diversity 'hot spots'. | | Book this private Tour in Peru |
