Barbara Thun - Private Guide in Gdansk
Highlights of Poland
Languages: English, German, French
Hello, dear friends! I have been working as a private guide in Poland for many years and it will be my pleasure to be the one to show you all the beauties and charm of my motherland. Travelling has always been my passion and since my early years I was trying to visit as many countries as possible. Without any doubt I am a fan of any kind of travelling irrespective of the destination.
I enjoy visiting different well-established destinations and discover places far off the beaten path. I often take my kids for little journey in the vaguely known destination. I really enjoy my work of a private guide, but it is not the only thing I do for a living. From spring to autumn I am also occupied with different kinds of translation. I think that I am very lucky to live in such an outstanding region as Gdansk.
I was born here, and I really like this place. In my opinion Gdansk had countless leisure opportunities and historical places. I live in Gdynia – a famous port built in 20s of 20th century, which is very close to Gdańsk. I was brought up in a traditional catholic family, though it is not very obvious from the first look. It is worth noting that I am a dedicated family genealogist, so it will be easy for me to help you find your ancestors in Poland should the case be.
For many years I have organized different kinds of private tours in Gdansk. Such tours are more convenient than the commercial ones, as far as each of them is tailor-made and personalized. It means that you can take part in the planning of the tour and offer the most interesting in your opinion destinations. Together we will make up the best tour for you, and you won’t ever forget the days you spent in Poland. Gdansk is a wonderful place to visit and you will discover lots of interesting places and famous tourist destinations.
