There are three Points of Interest on the tour: El Yunque’s Mt Britton Trail: The Mount Britton trail is 0.8 miles (1.3 km) in length, rising from 2,493 feet (760 meters) to 3,087 feet (941 meters). Hiking time is 40 minutes one-way. This trail is mostly cement and asphalt paved with some graveled sections. The level of difficulty ranges from easy at the beginning, to challenging near the peak. Puente Roto: The Mameyes River, at the Puente Roto (Broken Bridge) crossing, is the most popular water play area on the Forest. La Selva, The Northeastern Ecological Corridor: Located on the main island of Puerto Rico, the Northeastern Ecological Corridor includes over 3,200 acres of pristine beaches, marshes, swamps, and coastal forests, and is one of the Caribbean's last great places. The corridor provides unique habitat for all types of wildlife, and is home to a rare bioluminescent lagoon known as Laguna Aguas Prietas.
