Easter Tour in Romania

Bucharest - Transylvania - Bucovina Monasteries.

Day 1-Thursday - Bucharest
Arrival on the International Airport of Bucharest-Otopeni, encounter with the local guide and panoramic tour of Bucharest. Check in the hotel, dinner and accomodation. (The sight-seeing tour of the capital will be made the first or the last day, depending on the flight schedule).

Day 2-Friday- BUCHAREST-SINAIA-BRAN-PREDEAL
Breakfast and departure for Predeal (beautiful mountain resort in Transylvania, surrounded by the Carpathians). We shall visit: the splendid resort of Sinaia with its Orthodox Monastery (attending the Friday before Easter Mass), the "Peles Castle", one of the most beautiful for its Renaissance style (Italian, English, rococo, baroque, Moorish), and "Dracula's Castle" in Bran. Check-in the hotel, dinner and accomodation.

Day 3-Saturday-PREDEAL- BRASOV-BICAZ GORGES-P.NEAMT
Breakfast and visit of Brasov (1271), medieval saxon citadel of Transylvania, with its Black Church in gothic style. Departure for Piatra Neamt with a short stop at the "Red Lake" and "Bicaz Gorges", following one of the most breath-taking roads of Romania. Check-in the hotel at Piatra Neamt. Sightseeing tour of the city. Evening mass at the medieval church in the centre of the city, dinner and accomodation.

Day 4-Sunday- P.NEAMT-BUCOVINA MONASTERIES-P.NEAMT
Breakfast and departure for the Monasteries of Bucovina, patrimony of UNESCO. We shall visit : Neamt (the biggest monks'monastery in Romania), Voronet (the true jewel of Bucovina from 1488 with its memorable blue natural color), Moldovita from 1532 (famous all over the world for its frescos "The Last Judgment" and "The Siege of Constantinopole") and Sucevita from 1581 (built by one of the most important Moldavian noble families "The Movila"). Check-in the hotel and Typical Romanian Easter Dinner at Piatra Neamt.

5-Monday-24.04 - PIATRA NEAMT - BACAU - BUCHAREST
Breakfast and departure for Bucharest, with a short stop at Bacau. Bucharest sightseeing tour visiting: the Palace of the Parliament, the Patriarchal Church and the Village Museum. Farewell Folk dinner in a tipical Romanian restaurant, located on the banks of the Herastrau Lake, night tour and accommodation in hotel.

6-Tuesday- BUCHAREST
Breakfast, morning off at your disposal, (only if the flight is scheduled after 12 o'clock) and transfer to the airport.

THE QUOTA INCLUDES: accommodation in double room in selected hotels min. 3*, half board, entrance fees, English-speaking guide, transfer by private coach for the entire tour.

THE QUOTA DOES NOT INCLUDE: the flight for Bucharest, drinks at meals, insurances and everything not specified under: quota includes.
