One day in Danube Delta

This day trip is design for tourists being on Romanian Black Sea coast and who wants to spend one day in the Danube Delta. In this trip we include the traditional lunch based on fish : soupe,”mamaligutza”(polenta) , garlic sauce with “saramura” - a kind of salted sauce fish - or grill fish ( at request ) , tasty Romanian wine , water , desert , coffee / tee .

The boat tour starts from Tulcea (10.00 -10.30 ) , continues to Mila 35 channel, Sireasa channel, Nebunu lake , Mila 23 and return to Tulcea in the afternoon ( 17.00) .

Usually, this Danube Delta boat tour is for aprox. 5 - 6 h .

Tour Highlights:

07.15 - 07.30 Meeting at hotel lobby / passenger terminal / railway station . Drive from Constanta to Tulcea . Short walk tour at Danube river promenade and than to the Independence Monument , one of the main attractions of the city. It is located on the North-East side of Tulcea, on top of a hill where you can also find the ruins of the ancient roman city of Aegyssus.

The monument was erected as homage to the heroic soldiers who fought to free the country from the Ottoman rule between 1877 and 1888.

10.30 Transfer to boat terminal .

10.45 Start explore the Danube Delta by speed boat .

14.00 - 15.00 Lunch , traditional fish meal from Delta ( drinks included ) .

17.30 -18.00 apprs. return to Tulcea .

18.00 - 20.15 - drive back to Constanta and transfer at hotel lobby / passenger terminal / railway station .
