Discover the Maramures Land

  The tour takes a day long, and it starts in Sighetu Marmatiei town (northern Transylvania). In the morning you will visit the Memorial Museum (which shows exhibits about communist death prisons), the Jewish Museum (situated in Nobel Prize winner-Elie Wiesel's hose, displaying exhibits about Holocaust),. and the lively open air market (where the peasants sell fresh milk, cheese, vegetables, fruits or handicrafts).
  After the lunch (at a traditional restaurant), you'll leave the town, for Sapanta village. There you'll visit the most interesting graveyard from the world-The Merry Cemetery, and the world's tallest wooden church-Sapanta Monastery (78 metres high). In the evening you'll see the Barsana village, where you can choose to visit or the monastery's museum (medieval art), or the Jbar Church (an UNESCO world heritage site), or a handicraft workshop (blacksmith, weaver of wood carving).
  During night you'll sleep at a two or three star hotel, or at a rural homestay (having a tasty dinner, while listening live Maramures music).
