Getting about territory of Moscow Kremlin with visit to one of its Cathedrals and visit to Armory Chamber to see Treasure of Russian tsars. Four Rings make up Moscow, with the Kremlin at its center. Roads spoke out across the rings, and the Moscow River meanders through it. The first ring, or Inner Ring, is a semicircle 500m north of the Kremlin. The second is the Boulevard Ring, three-quarters of a circle 1km from the Kremlin. It's mostly dual carriageway with a park strip down the middle. All sections of this area end in "bulvar". The third is the Garden Ring, a full circle 2km out from the Kremlin, and crosses the Moscow River twice. The fourth is the Outer Ring and is much further out. This is some 15km from the Kremlin east and west, and 19km north and south. This forms the city's limits. A must for any tourist is Red Square and the Kremlin. You could spend a week in the Kremlin alone with all of it's churches, the armory, and architecture, and history. |
