Excursion in Seville

Tour Price : 120 EUR (weekdays) /160 EUR (weekends) Fees to monuments non included Duration : about 2h30' Languages: Spanish, English, French, Italian

You probably know that Seville is the capital of Andalusia and it is considered to be one of the most captivating and remarkable cities of Spain. It is very old, and there were lots of peoples and ethnicities which influenced its formation and development since the early times. Seville has been populated by Phoenicians, Visigoths, Romans, Moors and Christians and each of these peoples have left their traces in Seville.

This private tour in Spain is designed especially for those who are eager to get acquainted with the glorious history and rich culture of this ancient and flourishing city. Seville could be called a monumental city as far as it contains lots of outstanding monuments, archeological sites, tourist attractions and other places of interest.

As your private guide in Seville I would recommend to start our tour from Alcazar, the great royal palace. It used to be a Moorish fort, but nowadays it is considered to be oldest royal palace in the whole Europe which is still being used. It is truly a remarkable place so no wonder it was added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. The Alcazar of Seville is the best surviving example of the mudejar architecture. It is worth noting that the upper levels of the palace serve as a residence for the royal family.

Our next destination will be the great cathedral of Seville. It is widely known due to the fact that the legendary sailor and traveler Christopher Columbus is buried there. After a thorough exploration of the cathedral we will proceed to the Santa Cruz Quarter – the old Jewish Quarter.

As your private guide in Spain I will answer all your questions regarding the places we visit. This district used to be a Jewish Quarter in the Middle Ages, but nowadays it is a Christian quarter. However it still bears traces of the Jewish culture and history. There are lots of ancient synagogues in the quarter.
