I grew up in Madrid and have lived here for 28 years. As a consultant in the food industry for 10 years, I have traveled extensively throughout Spain exploring the country’s different regions, culture and food traditions. I have also studied and worked in the U.S., France and England for eight years. I am married to Jennifer, an American from Seattle (WA) who also does tours of Madrid and other areas of Spain. Having lived in the U.S. for four years and traveling there twice a year allows me to keep connected with what is going on in the U.S. Now living in Madrid, I spend my time primarily with Americans on visits to Madrid, Segovia and Toledo and run my own travel consulting business, helping travelers plan their itineraries in Spain. I have also guided tours for Rick Steves’ Europe Through the Back Door since 1999. In addition I now participate in Rick Steves' TV series and do research for Rick’s Spain guidebook. When in the U.S., I teach travel classes in different venues, bookstores and Community Colleges in the Seattle area. I would love to share some of my knowledge with you. See you in Spain.
