Located 12.5 miles from Costa Blanca in the Valencian state of Spain is Alcoy. The city is at the foot of the Serra Mariola Mountains and the Front of Roja natural park. Known as the City of Bridges, due to the multiple bridges in the local gorges, Alcoy is a small town seated quaintly in an inland valley and it is the crossing point for five rivers. Alcoy is world famous for fiesta for the Moors and Christians, which is held in April. Paper, furniture, ceramics, shoes and fabric is produced in Alcoy.

Tingo Beach with its pristine white sand, is the destination that attracts the most tourists. Diving is a popular activity and there are many areas designated areas. Oslob whale sharks can be spotted off the beach in Alcoy. Ruins of ancient settlements, fragments of Roman pottery and an old Spanish watchtower from the 13th century can be seen here. Visitors enjoy the Archaeological Museum, St. Rose of Lima Church and Castell de Bartxell.
