Airport - As an island the usual way to arrive is by air. There are two airports, Tenerife South - Reina Sofia (IATA: TFS, ICAO: GCTS), near Los Cristianos, and Tenerife North - Los Rodeos (IATA: TFN, ICAO: GCXO), by La Laguna. Buses run from both airports to other towns, though you may have to change routes. They stop around midnight and start again around 5-6AM.
Shopping - There's something to suit all tastes, from vast Spanish department store chains like El Corte Ingles in Santa Cruz, to chic bohemian markets in El Medano, or the best off the wall unique clothes shops in La Laguna. Top shopping hotspots on Tenerife, especially for clothing and arts and crafts, including La Laguna, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Puerto de la Cruz - all in the North of the island. South Tenerife offers a choice of superb weekly markets, all within easy access of the main Tenerife resorts.
