We (two couples) were very fortunate that we selected Emre Onal as our guide for two days in Istanbul. We were sailing on a cruise and arrived in Istanbul a couple of days early and wanted to see the city. We were interested in the Sultanahmet area as well as Taksim and we wanted to cruse the Bosporus. Emre, along with his driver, Mr. Fasil, picked us up (we were at different hotels), took us through all the highlights of Sultanahmet, provided lunch at an excellent typical restaurant and gave us a great day. The following day we took a boat ride up the Bosporus, after seeing a couple of sights we missed the first day, he provided a great seafood lunch at a restaurant overlooking the water and arranged for Mr. Fasil to meet us there so we could drive back through various Istanbul neighborhoods. Emre is knowledgable, flexible, interesting and has a good sense of humor. You couldn't ask for more in a guide.

We spent several days with Emre in Istanbul and felt ourselves fortunate to have him as our guide. He speaks excellent English, is very knowledgeable about sites & history, very polite & accommodating & always on time. He was willing to tailor our tour to our wishes, but also took us to several places that we never would have found ourselves. Yes, you can travel around Istanbul on your own, but we saw so much more & learned so much more by having Emre as our guide. We would use him again in a minute.

Emre met us at the airport and from that moment on, we were enthralled with the beautiful Istnabul. His passion for his culture and history combined with his knowledge of the city and region is amazing and really contagious. We found ourselves quizzing our kids and really remembering what we learned and saw. He organized a great tour for us given our short stay and we feel as if we got a perfect taste of Istanbul and are tempted to return for more someday. Thanks Emre for a great experience, for the superb restaurant recommendations and for making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. We can't wait to come back.

We had a wonderful tour in Turkey! we visited exciting city Istanbul! Due to our perfect guide Emre Onal we learned so much interesting about this city! I liked the programm of excursion, liked that Emre was restrained, considerate, sympathetic and he was full of energy!:) he knows about his city so many facts - and it was so wonderful!
