Trekking & Kayaking in the North-East

DAY 1: ARRIVAL - HANOI

On arrival at Noi Bai Airport, you are met and transferred to hotel. Ha Noi, Vietnam's capital, is a stylish and gracious city that retains an unique old world charm and some Asia‘s most striking colonial architecture. The many lakes and parks make for relaxing atmosphere. (If time permit ) we enjoy a short cyclo excursion through the bustling old quarter streets named after the specific goods once offered for sale at these places. O/N in Ha Noi.

DAY  2: HANOI - BA BE LAKE [B,L,D]

After breakfast, we leave Hanoi for Ba Be via Bac Can. Throughout the first stage, we are crossing small villages ,they are handicrafts and cultures villages. Meeting the daily life in the wild environment. Lunch at local restaurant. Arrive in Ba Be in the afternoon, a boat trip will take us to Pa Ngoi village. Good dinner and overnight in a house on stilt (at terrace entire view of the lake).

DAY 3: BA BE CRUISE [B,L,D]

Today, we will take a boat cruise on Ba Be lake. Discovery cave, waterfall. Lunch will be at Ong Pirate Restaurant. Our leader will find the best place for swimming or take an easy hike to meet Ethnic people living along the lake. Return to Pa Ngoi village in late afternoon. Dinner and overnight at house on stilt.

DAY 4: BA BE - CAO BANG [B,L,D]

Say goodbye to the family where we spent 2 nights. We leave Ba Be for Cao Bang with stop en route. Lunch will be at local restaurant. Arrival Cao Bang at the end of afternoon. Time for shower at the hotel and discover the market and its surrounding. It’s time to taste Cao Bang special dish at “Lau” restaurant and meet our local guide for trek briefing.

DAY 5: CAO BANG - TA LUNG [B,L,D]

After breakfast, we drive to Chinese border. From close by the border, we’ll pass the Bang Giang river on a bamboo raft to join Na Lap. Start 4 hours hike up to Nhung La village. Overnight in local house of Tay people. The facilities in the house is very basic but very warmly welcome. Washing or taking a bath can be done in the water source lead to the village by bamboo.

DAY 6: LA,BUNG,NA NIENG [B,L,D]

In the morning, crossing the valley on small paths up to Khau Lun pass (490 m to sea level). From this point, going downhill to Bung village where people live mostly on agriculture. Lunch at local house located on rice terrace at Bung village. Early afternoon, after to crossing the rice field, we start trek up through jungle (432m to sea level). On the way down, we’ll discover Nha Nhieng village, which located right in the middle of valley surrounded by mountains range. Dinner and over night at local house in the village.

DAY 7: NHA NHIENG,DONG NIENG [B,L,D]

We leave Na Nieng village about 9 am. Trek up again to the point at 490 m to sea level and then an other try up to Tao hamlet (the top is at 555 m ). On the way down, we will visit Na Dia and Dong Lieng villages. Our vehicle and driver are waiting for us at Dong Khe. Drive to That Khe for lunch at local restaurant and continue to Lang Son. Dinner at local restaurant and overnight at mini hotel.

DAY 8: LANG SON - TIEN YEN - HA LONG - KAYAKING [B,L,D]

Leave Lang Son for Halong Bay via Tien Yen and Cam Pha early in the morning. Lunch en route and arrive in Halong Bay in the afternoon. Board on traditional junk and cruise through the Bay to the first point for easy and relax paddle. Explore the hidden lagoons by kayaks. Dinner and over night on board.

DAY 9: KAYAKING - HA LONG - HANOI [B,L,D]

Wake up early in the morning for swimming. After breakfast, we slip on our kayaks again for 2,5 hours paddling through unique dramatically limestone formation to explore isolated beach, floating village. Meet our Junk again for lunch while the boat cruising back to Halong harbor. Drive back to Hanoi and arrive at the end of the day. Farewell dinner at the restaurant in town and over night at hotel in Hanoi.

DAY  10: - DEPARTURE [ B ]

There is a free time for you to relax or further explore Ha Noi . The trip ends after your transfer to Noi Bai Airport for departure.
