Sighnaghi is one of the most beautiful cities in Georgia, its unofficial title being "the city of love ". It is perhaps the best place to spend a honeymoon or to propose to a loved one. The city is located 120km east of the capital Tbilisi. 

 Besides the beautiful views of the Alazani Valley, there are a lot of sights in Sighnaghi. You will have the opportunity to visit stunning Georgian Orthodox churches such as the  St. George or the St. Stephen cathedrals. 

 The Bodbe Monastery being largely a place of worship for Nuns, is home to the Tomb of Saint Nino and is located just 2km from the "City of Love". 

While walking through the city centre you can find an array of souvenir shops,  authentic Georgian restaurants and cafes. 

One of the important places in Sighnaghi is the Pirosmani museum, names after Nicholas Pirosmani, Georgias eminent primitivist painter. Here in the first floor you will find antique and ancient artifacts dating from the bronze and stone age period.

 On the second floor of the museum are Pirosmani's paintings themselves. His animal depictions being globally artistically praised.

 "The grape harvest", one of his most famous paintings, is also stored in this museum. Visiting this museum will demonstate to the visitor sone aspects of the history and uniqueness of Georgia as a nation.
