We will start our private tour in Venice from Rialto, which has been the commercial and financial center of Venice for many centuries and still is the busiest and most important part of Venice. Rialto is mostly known for the legendary Rialto Bridge across the Grand Canal. We will definitely take a look at this famous bridge and admire its fine construction. It is said to be the oldest bridge in Venice, which divided its two districts – San Polo and San Marco.

You will be able to feel the busy atmosphere of Rialto by visiting its numerous markets. There are different kinds of markets in Rialto, and you will be able to find there anything you like: fish, sardines, black squid, squill, eel, vegetables and fruit. We will proceed to the district of San Polo, which is very quiet as compared to the Rialto markets. As a professional private guide in Venice I would strongly recommend you to visit the Frari Church, which is considered to be one of the greatest churches in Venice.

You will find it at the heart of San Polo district that is right in its center. This church is known first of all for its gothic architecture, which was designed by the Franciscans. The Frari church is a well-known tourist attraction in Venice due to the masterpieces it contains – Bellini’s Tryptic and the Assumption by Titian. We will continue our tour on a public boat, or a traghetto gondola if you like.
