Day 1: Fes - Midelt - Merzouga

2Leave Fes and its intricate cloud of roads means somehow regain orientation. It's off to the desert. And the journey through the mountains of the Middle Atlas Western Australia, from which there is some of the most beautiful stretches of cedar and hazel born in Morocco and most important rivers. Landscapes chase in particular in the area of Azrou, Ifrane, popular center for winter sports, known as "the Switzerland of Morocco." It makes a stop in Midelt and then proceed to Merzouga. When you arrive in Erfoud, the desert is upon us. But it is with immense dunes of Erg Chebbi, near the oasis of Merzouga, the highest you'll ever meet in Morocco that you feel arrived. It is the true desert, the one where the annual rainfall below 100 millimeters. This is the place where, oasis apart, nothing grows, nothing moves. Aside from the wind model of continuous horizon. Leave the car at the end of the paved road, it will lead us to the camel to the bivouac for the night. A field equipped and guarded, where you can dine in the light of the fire, you will not miss a second of the spectacle of the starry sky. Sleeping in tents is almost a sin, to turn off the light on the most beautiful.

Day 2: Merzouga - Boumalne Dades - Kalaa't Mgouna

As nomads, the only human beings are able to adapt to the difficulties of the desert, you wake up at dawn. You see the sun arise between the waves of a sea of sand. It is the scenery that has inspired writers and photographers, made famous by Paul Bowles, the American writer of Te in the wilderness, "a purely mineral landscape lighted by stele as rockets, where even memory disappears." Morocco ends here, surprisingly, the only place that you lose infinity beyond the horizon.
A camel returns to the noise of civilization, towards the hotel that hosts us to freshen up and have breakfast. We are back on the road to the Valley of Roses. First, you visit the Todra Gorge, nestled in the valley of this small tributary of Oued Rheriss; are the most spectacular of the entire country. Soon after, continuing for Boumalne Dades, we enter in the Gorges du Dades, to discover unique landscapes, at the foot of the Atlas. According to many legends, along the gorges of Dades would still be living lions of Atlantis; the most reliable historical sources, however, agree that the last specimen was shot down at the beginning of the twentieth century. Arrived in the Valley of Roses, you stop in the capital of this oasis planted with rose bushes. Kalaa't Mgouna has a dual personality; The first follows the scent of freshly picked buds and intoxicates with water and oil essence. The second, forging daggers ceremony. The sweet side and the aggressive center where we will stop for dinner on the first night of the tour at the hotel.

Day 3: Kalaa't Mgouna - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

The trip aims to Marrakech, the pink city, protected by seven saints and by a wall 12 kilometers that dates back to the time of the Almoravid dynasty. To reach the city, founded in 1062, you should first get to Ouarzazate, the ancient caravanserai, today the tourist hub of great importance as it is placed at the confluence of three valleys: Dades, Dràa and worth of the Roses. It is also the Hollywood of Africa, because it is here that the American majors run feature films that seem set in the East. You must straddle the Atlas by the pitch of Tiz'n Tichka that 2,260 meters above sea level with a surprisingly verdant plateau, full of flocks. It is the step of pastures, such as its Arabic name. Before you get there you visit Ait Benhaddou, the ksar World Heritage Site by UNESCO, natural setting of many Hollywood movies, from Laurence d \ 'Arabia to Babel, from \' The Last Temptation of Christ in Kundun. The fortified village along the \ 'ancient salt caravan trail marks the route to Marrakech. The river that bathes him, crossing the salt mines becomes salty. Following its course, go up the Atlas.
The mountain fills the sight of colors: up to eight, counting the whole range of reds and greens of the land between conifers, palms and oleanders paints the landscape. You visit Telouet and its kasbah, home of the last pasha of Marrakech. In the evening we arrive in the pink city
