    Founded in 1984, we specializes in inn-to-inn trips throughout the Alps of western Europe.

    Our groups are small, and our attention to your experience has gained us a loyal following. Newer tours reflect our quest to provide remote, unusual and challenging mountain experiences in addition to tours to more classic destinations. Many trips are designed to meet the wishes of our increasingly experienced and savvy travelers and of our repeat travelers, who make up half of our guest lists. In addition to our scheduled trips, we organize independent travel and private guided hiking adventures by arrangement. On every trip you will find that the utmost attention has been paid to providing a superb hiking route between charming inns and beautiful alpine villages. We transport your luggage on our guided trips so that you hike with only a backpack and enjoy the pleasures of going light, while your guide takes care of the details of travel, luggage handling and other logistics.

    Our guides are knowledgeable and experienced, and our guide to client ratio is low (usually 1:5 or less), so we can accommodate hikers of different abilities and provide exciting and impromptu options along the way. Most trips are accompanied by two guides.

    Our guides are passionate mountain enthusiasts who work year round in the outdoor industry and are dedicated to providing our guests an exceptional experience. Most have outdoor leadership certifications and continue their education with advanced guiding and leadership courses through avalanche schools and professional outdoor leadership associations. All have current Wilderness First Aid and most have completed advanced certifications, including WFR and EMT. You will find your head guide very familiar with the local terrain, culture, food and customs and conversational in at least one of the principal languages in the region. Most importantly, they are fun to be with and dedicated to your enjoyment of your travels.
