My name is Jose and I am a certified tour guide in Barcelona, Spain, I provide chauffeured tours of Barcelona as well as walking tours of the city center

I give private tours of Barcelona and its region, In town, don't miss my "Barcelona Highlights" tour, It provides an excellent overview of the entire city in just a few hours. If you have some more time and would like to explore the surroundings, let me suggest Montserrat, the wine country, Girona, or the Dali Museum in Figueres. I will help you choose the right excursion according to your interests.

My friends and clients think I am personable and fun. I am a certified tour guide as required by local law. And my English is very good! I hold a Master’s degree from Bentley College, in Massachusetts but out of love for my native Barcelona I decided to give up a successful marketing career and turn my #1 hobby into my profession.

I am the author of the book in English on Barcelona titled "Barcelona Then & Now."
My approach to tour guiding recognizes the fact that visitors don’t want to be overwhelmed with dense data. Instead, my tours are full of anecdotes and stories that don’t appear in guidebooks and that will make your stay in Barcelona memorable and entertaining. May I invite you to join me as I unveil Barcelona’s many –and often hidden- treasures?

About Barcelona

With the opening of the city to the sea, a project first undertaken in the 1980s, the redeveloped seafront, from the Moll de la Fusta and the area around the Palau de Mar to the Rambla de Mar and the Olympic Port area, has become one of Barcelona's most popular spaces for recreation and leisure. In addition, the beaches of Sant Sebastia, La Barceloneta, Nova Icaria, Bogatell, Mar Bella and Nova Mar Bella, stretching more than four kilometres overall, receive annually nearly seven million visitors, and have all the facilities and services necessary for these people to enjoy a pleasant and safe day at the beach.

Moreover, with the development of the shoreline around the river Besos, Barcelona will gain new areas for leisure located on sites taken from the sea. These include a new marine wildlife park, two green areas with a variety of uses and a new bathing area, the latter different from usual beaches in its being designed to create an area of calm waters.

We are very thankful to our guide Jose Soler. His knowledge of the city and his effort to make everything first class made all the difference in our stay in Barcelona, he knows the city like the palm of his hand making the most of our time, showing us the most prevalent sites but adding his personal touch. The best decision we ever made was contacting Jose to be our tour guide. If you plan to visit Barcelona, Jose is the guide to call; he will show you the city with passion and you will fall in love with the city by the end of the day. Barcelona is a city out of this world; we plan to go back soon and for sure will call on Jose again.
