I have been working in the sphere of tourism for nearly ten years now and I really enjoy my work. I have a special license given by the government which gives me the access to all the historical sites and places of interest in Brazil. It would be my pleasure to take you on a tour around my hometown – marvelous and unforgettable Rio de Janeiro.
I have two approaches when it comes to my guided tours in Rio de Janeiro: first I can take you to the most attractive tourist sites and places of historical significance. These are the place, which are immediately associated with Rio and they are usually the most attractive among tourists: the giant statue of Christ the Redeemer, Copacabana, Sugar Loaff, Saint Teresa and all the like. These are the most common tourist destinations in Rio. Or I can take to the less popular, but not less interesting places, where you could communicate with the locals.
These are such side tours as Samba bars, Favelas, or Niteroi. In spite of the fact that I specialize mainly on Rio de Janeiro, it won’t be a problem for me to show you some of the most interesting places which surround Rio : Paraty, Buzios, Santos, Petropolis and all the like. I have a good background in Brazilian history, culture, architecture and science, so there won’t be a single question I won’t be able to answer.
I speak several languages: English, Spanish, French and Portuguese. I would be happy to be your private guide in Brazil.

My 82 year old mother came to visit us in SP from the US. I took her on a one-day trip to Rio and she had a great time - mostly due to Martha! I explained to Martha that I wanted a custom tour catering to what my mother wanted to do and see. In one day we flew in, saw Corcovado and Pao De'Azucar, ate at the Grill from Ipanema, walked Copacabana and had coffee and snacks at Columbo Cafe. My mother has some mobility difficulties and Martha made sure we got wheelchair/ramp/walker access to everything. She was also a great person to spend the day with - full of information and an engaging personality. I recommend her highly!
