I'm a Costa Rican guide and driver with over 9 years of experience touring people around all over Costa Rica, originally I was a tour guide for big tour company where I learn the basics about this business, then after many friendly tourist suggest me to go on my own and they will referent me with their friends I deside to get independence and buy my van and drive/guide for my friends in this piece of Paradise. Nowadays I run a tour operator with my older brother Diego who is knowleadge about all the tourist destinations including Puntarenas, Monteverde, Manuel Antonio, Arenal, Poas, Tamarindo, Tortuguero and more.

Alvaro and his brother Diego are doing a great team, they helped me to plan my vacations in Costa Rica a month ago, we had many emails just to set up all details and Alvaro was always prompt and attentive to our many requests. I found them on this site so I want to thank private-guides.com for letting guys like them be reachable online.
Their service was awesome and we felt like in family after one day touring with them, we hired their services as driver and guide, but they also helped us to rent a nice house by the beach and to arrange activities with very good rates.
Overall we enjoyed their company, advise, knowledge and good sense of humor, Costa Rica is a wonderful country and we are already planning our next trip there to see more and of course we'll call Alvaro again.
