I was born and raised in Luxor, Egypt and have been visiting the Pharonic tombs and temples my whole life, as my father was also a tour guide.
I am passionate about sharing my hometown with visitors. I work primarily in Luxor and Upper Egypt; but I also travel throughout Egypt. I believe that the best sites in Egypt are right here in Luxor, and love to share the history and culture of my country.
I have ten years experience as a tour guide, and have worked for many international tour companies. I am licensed guide with memberships in the Egyptian General Tourist Guides Syndicate and the WFTGA. I am also an Egyptologist graduated from Cairo University, Hotels and Tourism section.

Hi, Mohamed Hamid. It has been over a month now. Nina and I still talk about the trip to Egypt sometimes. We had very good time in Southern Egypt (in your territory). The tour was very organized and the tour guides, especially Hamid yourself, were very professional and knowledgeable. If our friends or co-works or anyone read this plan to visit Egypt we are highly recommended to travel with Mohamed and his guys. By the way if you have some free time you should ask Hamid to take you to his coffee ship right at center of Luxor where you can have a break and catch up your e-mails. Onze Nijltour van 4 dagen begon op 1 november 2010. We werden keurig bij ons hotel opgehaald. De eerste 2 dagen waren we met 4 personen en daarna met 8. Onze engelstalige gids (Haney)was naast dat hij veel kennis had ook behulpzaam en bezorgd. Het cruiseschip had 5*. Het eten goed, het personeel erg vriendelijk.
We hebben in deze toch korte tijd enorm veel gezien. Het vervoer naar de tempels en tombes was comfortabel en zat bij de prijs in. Entree gelden zelf betalen. Het enige wat je aan moet geven is dat niet naar een parfumfabriek wilt en een fabriek voor egyptische souvenirs. Anders brengt de gids je daar naar toe.

I would like to second this recommendation of Egypt Daily Tours! I could not agree with Erie more. I arranged a one day tour with Mohamed Abdel Hamid via email before my trip. He was very responsive to my emails and answered all of my questions. Since I am a young woman and was traveling alone I requested a female tour guide. Mohamed Abdel Hamid arranged Heba to be my guide. She was a wonderful guide and I very much enjoyed spending the day with her. I felt like I was spending the day with a new friend combined with my favorite History teacher. I learned so much from her throughout my trip to the Giza Pyramids & Sphinx, The Egyptian Museum, The Citadel & Mohamed Ali Mosque, and Khan El-Khalili Bazar (or Coptic Cairo. A private tour guide is the only way to go and Egypt Daily Tours is excellent!
