First your driver-guide will pick you up at your hotel or apartment downtown; after a drive of 1 hour we'll reach the very little and charming village of Giverny where the celebrated impressionnists painter C.Monet settled down in 1886; with your guide you'll visit the gardens,first the Clos-Normand,formal gardens with many species of flowers: roses,daffodils,tulips,irises ...then the Japanese-like garden with the celebrated Japanese bridge, the pond with the water-lilies which inspired Monet for painting his most famous canvasses, today in the Orangerie museum in Paris; eventually you'll visit the house where Monet lived and worked; on the way back we'll drive along a scenic road which overlooks the Seine river valley;this tour can be combined with a half day tour at Versailles.
