Day 1 Marrakech
Originally a trader's square, the Place Djemaa el-Fna now serves as the public face of Marrakech. A whirlwind of musicians, dancers, story-tellers, boxers, snake-charmers and acrobats offer a riot of entertainment.
Day 2 Ouirgane Mountain Bike
Heading into the Toubkal Massif, enjoy the afternoon from handlebar height on a mountain bike ride passing picturesque villages before arriving in the Berber village of Ouirgane.
Days 3-4 High Atlas Trek
After a glass of hot mint tea, load up the mules for a rewarding trek through the High Atlas Mountains, resting overnight in a mountain gite.
Day 5 Ait Benhaddou
Slide into a traditional 'hammam' bath and rest your legs before travelling on to the kasbah town of Ait Benhaddou. At its most beautiful in the hours before the sun sets, watch the Saharan sun light up the red stone walls and explore its warren of alleyways.
Days 6-7 The Gorges
Hike the awe-inspiring Dades Gorge, spend a night feasting with nomads and experience firsthand their legendary hospitality. Kick back and admire the views at Todra Gorge, explore the lush palm groves of nearby Tineghir, or browse the local stalls for the perfect Moroccan souvenir.
Days 8-9 Marrakesh
The alluring scent of spices, sheen of copper vessels and array of leather goods tempt you into the exotic souqs. Enjoy a farewell dinner of succulent tagine or hearty harira.
