George:  We are making our fourth trip to Germany in late September or early October of this year and would like to include Poland. My mother’s father (name was Gut or Gutt in Poland and it was changed to Guth in the US.) George Walter Guth (my grandfather) was born in Tuehow, Poland which is east of Krakow. George Walter Guth’s father, Stanislaus Gutt was born in Plesna, a short distance from west of Tuehow. George Walter Guth was 1 year of age when Stanislaus immigrated to America. What arrangements could we make with you as a tour guide in Poland? My wife and I would like to visit the towns of Plesna and Tuehow. I am 67 years old and retired from the construction industry and my wife is a retired Kindergarten teacher. We enjoy traveling in our retirement. We live in New Berlin, Wisconsin which is a suburb of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Milwaukee is located 90 miles north of Chicago, Illinois. I am looking forward to your response. Cecily:  I am arriving by train in Krakow on Saturday, September 1. I depart Krakow to return to USA on Wednesday, September 5, 2007. I am interested in the various tours your company offers. I note that you list 5 tours. Can you send me details on each of these tours including: are they walking tours where I will have the opportunity to photograph what I am seeing as opposed to just driving past it in a car or bus, the cost and length of time of each tour. Is it possible to combine the tours (do more that one tour in a day)? For example, Krakow City Tour and Traces of Jewish Culture or Wieliczka Salt Mine? I will only have 3 days in Krakow and I would like to see and photograph as much as I can. Finally, can you confirm that these are private tours. I don't mind being in a small group, but I don't want to spend my time simply viewing the sites on a bus and not having a chance to truly experience Krakow. Joe:  I was referred to you from Dana Chaloupkova, a tour guide in Pargue. We are taking a Viking River Cruise and are trying to see a few cities while we're on the trip. We will be coming into Warsaw on the afternoon of Sept. 2, and leaving on the evening of Sept. 4 We have heard that Krakow is a beautiful city and was wondering if it is feasible to make a day trip on Sept. 3 to Krakow. I found reasonably priced flights from Warsaw to Krakow, arriving about 9:30 and leaving about 20:30. My thinking is, if you are available on that day, that we could see the highlites of the city. Do you think this would be worth our while, or would we be better off spending all of our time in Warsaw? I would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Our flights to and from Warsaw are already booked, as well as our hotel there. It would be myself and my wife, Marsha. Thank You,

Diane:  Thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. For whatever reason my server is having trouble sending you a message...so I am doing it here. Your tour sounds fabulous. We would like to book the full day tour and we can talk about exactly what to take in etc. at the time. We would love to stop for lunch with you at a non touristy (more local)spot. I am not sure exactly where we are going stay right now although it will be close to old town. We are interested in seeing Auschwitz but we are unsure of our timing right now. We are looking at booking a car when we leave Krakow and may go then on our way to our next spot. I will let you know. Please let me know what you need from us to finalize the booking.
