Exeter is a city in Devon, England, that is filled with much history and makes for a terrific travel spot.  This city has mild winters with precipitation and warm summers with periods of hot and cooler weather. Temperatures remain fairly consistent for the entire year.  Exeter Cathedral is the Cathedral Church of Saint Peter at Exeter. 

The church is absolutely gorgeous in appearance.  The current structure was finished around 1400 and contains a few prominent features.  These encompass an ancient set of misericords, astronomical clock, as well as the most elongated continuous arched ceiling in England.  Exeter is home of a Tudor structure from the 14^th century that is called “The House That Moved.”  In 1961 it was transported from its first site on the corner of Edmund Street.  This was done so that a new road could be built in its former location. 

The house weighs over twenty-one tons and was fastened together and moved little by little to where it is situated today.  Another fantastic point of interest to view and marvel at is Exeter Clock Tower with its stately presence.  Tourists enjoy taking a trek to Parliament Street and taking a look.  This amazing street is positioned in the core of the city and is among one of the slimmest streets in the entire world.  Cuisine in Exeter is excellent and there are many tasty dishes from which to make a selection.  We are hopeful that you keep this wonderful city in mind when securing vacation plans.
