Shannon is a new town in County Clare in Ireland, located along the country’s longest river, the River Shannon. The town actually grew around the Shannon Airport in the 1960’s, and is currently a growing industrial region for many international companies.

It is the stunning landscape that creates the magnetic draw for tourists to the Shannon Region and County Clare. There are numerous walking, cycling and horseback riding trails throughout the lush river valleys and woodlands, as well as gorgeous golden beaches and stunning cliffs. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy surfing and canoeing, and nowhere is there more lovely scenery for a pleasant country drive.
