Private Guides in Tangerang
All these tourists had unforgettable travel experience because of our guides from Tangerang.
Let them make your dream vacation a reality.
Could you arrange something
like this from 27/06/2008-30/06/2008?
What would be your price?
Day 1: Arrival to Surabaya, transfer to Tretes mountain resort
You are picked up in Surabaya (normally at the airport or train station) and
transferred to the charming mountain resort of Tretes, where we stay in a
comfortable hotel. The rest of day is to relax or explore the lush
surroundings of the place. Group dinner in the evening.
U: Comfortable hotel in Tretes (D)
Day 2: Sidoarjo mud flow - start climbing Welirang volcano
The Sidoarjo mud flow is one of the most amazing un-natural disasters with
over 10,00 people displaced by the mud - so far. It is expected to continue
for over 30 years. We will get up at 4am to see the sunrise at the Sidoarjo
mud flow (about 30 minute drive).
After returning to Tretes and a (second) breakfast, it's a bumpy 1 hr jeep
ride up the slope of Mt. Welirang volcano. From there, it is a pleasant, 3-4
hrs hike through a lush temperate mountain forest to the second camp at
about 2700 m elevation.
Our camp will be set up near the village of the sulphur workers, who live
here during their 5-days shifts. The village consists mostly of simple huts
and is a perfect setting for interesting photography. For the workers, we
will be a welcomes distraction and they are usually happy to show us around.
During the trek, we only need to carry small daypacks. All heavy personal
and camping equipment as well as food is carried for us by porters. A full
warm dinner will be prepared for us. Night in tents.
U: Camping (B, L, D)
Day 3: Summit area of Welirang volcano and its extensive fumarole fields
Today, we have time to explore the summit craters of Welirang and its large
fumarole fields,- the sites where the sulphur is being quarried using
primitive tools. Together with the miners, we walk up the mountain to its
top dotted with craters and fumaroles (2-3 hours walk). The rest of day free
to explore the fumaroles or the rest of the mountain (with guides). If you
like, we would recommend to watch the amazing sunset across the fumarole
U: Camp (B, L, D)
Day 4: Sunrise from Welirang - continue trekking to Arjuno volcano and
Early in the morning, we climb up to reach Welirang's peak for sunrise. The
views over the surrounding land with a number of other peaks including
nearby, often erupting Semeru volcano, are amazing.
After some time spent here and a snack we walk down the other side of
Welirang-Arjuno volcano down to Patung village near Malang (4-5 hrs hiking).
En route, we stop to rest our legs in a hot spring in the forest. In Patung,
we'll unwind and rest in a good hotel.
U: Hotel near Malang (B, L, D)
We also would need a luggage transfer from Tretes to Malang since we don't
want to carry all the luggage.
David: I am a single traveler planning to visit Indonesia for 3 weeks in July.
The second half of my trip will be trekking in Sumatra but I am trying to organize the first half of the trip (10/11 days).
I want to fly into Indonesia from Singapore and visit an active the Volcano (I guess the Bromo area would be best for this) and then visit Komodo and the surrounding Flores islands. At the end of the trip I need to be in a position to fly up to Medan to start my Sumatra Trek.
The focus for me needs to be on Wildlife and scenery such as volcanoes and the lakes. My interest in the wildlife is in its natural habitat, not in farms/zoo environments. I would like to be able to book something with a local guide such as yourself who can show me local Indonesia rather than follow the tourist track for the entire time.
Any help and suggested itinerary you can offer me would be appreciated as would an idea of the cost for a single traveler.
Thanks and Regards
