Stemming from the Mayan words for "star" and "jaguar," Ek Balam - or "The Jaguar Star City" - was once home to the archenemies of Chichén Itzá. Enjoy an archaeological site tour, where you can view a ball court and two palaces built in the middle of the jungle and climb the palace of Ukit Kan Lek Tok, a recently-discovered tomb that has become the masterpiece of Maya sculpture. Your guide will make you feel like in the past... Then you’ll enjoy a wonderful experience swimming in the crystalline water of a Cenote and have a traditional lunch in the 16th Century house of the founder of Valladolid.
