The history and cultural heritage of Maramureș is complex. To discover or deepen our understanding, we will visit the Museum of Jewish Civilization in Maramureș, which is also the Elie Wiesel Memorial House, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 1986.
We will continue the program with a visit to the glass painting workshop of artist Ioan Borlean. Here we will receive explanations about the technique of painting icons on glass.

Day 2
After breakfast and check-out, we head to perhaps the most visited attraction in Sighet - the Memorial of the Victims of Communism and of the Resistance - the former prison of Romania's interwar elite.
We continue our journey, this time along the Iza Valley. Our first stop is Niculai's Mill. Here we will see how traditional water-powered installations still function today.
We visit Bârsana Monastery - an example of continuity - not only of faith but also of local tradition in terms of specific architecture.
The location for lunch today introduces us to the atmosphere of a local household, not only because of the decor but also because of the dishes cooked in our traditional way.
We visit the Hill Church in Ieud, also included in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 1999, attracting tourists from all over the world every year.
We continue our journey by paying a visit to the Museum of the Romanian Peasant Woman in Dragomirești, where we will be shown a typical household and illustrated with all types of activities that women used to perform in the household.
In the evening, accommoadtion in Vișeu de Sus
Day 3
In the morning we head to Vișeu CFF Station, where we begin our journey on the Mocănița (steam train) along the Vaser Valley. For the next 5 or 6 hours we will admire nature in all its splendor. Along the way we will have 2 stops, the last one at Paltinul Station for approximately 1 hour and a half.
Around 3 PM we return to Vișeu de Sus and head to our accommodation, where we can enjoy relaxation at the hotel's SPA.
Dinner can be taken in the restaurant or on the terrace.
Day 4
After breakfast, we hit the road again.
We visit the pottery workshop of Tănase Burnar, a potter who inherited the craft from his father, who in turn inherited it from his father, thus passed down from generation to generation.
We have to travel approximately 60 km to the next stop, which is the village of Breb. Here we will walk the streets, discover local stories, visit craftsmen's workshops, and last but not least, enjoy a lunch prepared by a local.
