A granddaughter of Pushkin expert Boris V. Tomashevskiy and a graduate of the Leningrad University successfully finished professional courses of English-speaking tour guides/interpreters. For 13 years she has taken tourists from the United States, Britain, Canada, India, Australia, and New Zealand around St. Petersburg and all over the former Soviet Union.
Lyudmila has lived in the US since 1993, at first in Washington, now in New York. For more than 20 years she has been working as a tour guide both in Russian and in English, with individual clients and tourist groups, American and Russian students. Also, as an interpreter, Lyudmila accompanies professionals in various spheres and of different specialties to exhibitions, conferences, and business meetings.
Her favorite activity is with inspiration and enthusiasm to tell you about the amazing history of the NYC and walk together with you to memorable places. She will talk of people who lived and now reside in the city, which is known as “the capital of the world”. Lyudmila is ready to take you to more than forty tours along the east coast of America.
Russian language teaching for The New York Times journalists and an American psychotherapy course helps Lyudmila to fill her tours with unique information and fit her tours to your interests and needs with the exceptional warmth. With special affection she creates fabulous tours for the youngest visitors, having composed several exciting children's tours for clients of all ages, from toddlers to future students of American and Russian universities.
